Hey, I’m Devika.
About me
A civil engineer turned designer with around 5 years of experience shaping digital experiences across various domains. My passion lies in complex problem solving. Driven by empathy and curiosity, I leverage mixed-methods research to translate real user stories into digital products.
My journey so far
Finished my bachelor’s in civil engineering and spend an year as a React JS developer.
Hit a bit of a crossroads when i just wasn’t finding the kind of work that made me feel genuinely excited or satisfied.
I stumbled upon UX. Took a 3 month course from a UX academy(Wibe).
Since then, I haven’t looked back……
Over the last 5 years, I’ve grown to love digging into user research, understanding products and people, using a mix of research methods to solve problems and see those solutions work in real life.
Over time, I’ve realized that - UX is to a system what oxygen is to the body—you just can’t do without it. That has really confirmed for me that I’ve found a career I’m passionate about and genuinely excited to work in.
Outside of work
I’m into digital art, attending music festivals, hiking, bird photography, and traveling around.
